Running

Running, Running, always Running
So much Running here and there
Not just children and adults
But THINGS are Running everywhere

We are Running up the water bill
With the slip-n-slide and pool
Can't imagine all the Running
When the oldest starts to school

Somewhere a faucets been left Running
From a hand washing affair
And I hear the guilty little feet
Go Running down the stairs

Just a moment little one
There is something Running out
From your diaper, and with all that juice
There really is no doubt

Let's go Running to the potty
Maybe next time you'll succeed
I am Running out of patience
With your diaper changing needs

Don't go Running in the street
But please, come Running when I call
You may Run and play outside
And I'll come Running if you fall

We are often Running late
Which should come as no surprise
As one goes Running to the van
Another's Running off to hide

Catch that little nose, it's Running
Tell me when is someones not!
And when storms come, you come Running
To get in our safety spot

Sometimes I think we're Running mad
With all this Running that's in store
But in truth, we like you Running
So keep Running even more

When the pressure gets too strong
Please come Running to our home
We'll be Running straight towards you
You will never be alone

And with all this back and forth
Don't forget just one last thing
To go Running after God
And all the joy that He will bring

So, you go Running through our lives
Though breaks or rests be very few
For our cup is Running over
When we're Running after you
