My Girl

Jason loves to take pictures and occasionally we get a good one! This was one of those times and I am so thankful for the memory. Nothing extraordinary is happening. Colleen is just sitting in my lap as I do a few things at the computer, but it is the sweet smile on her face that reminds me how special she is. She is very affectionate and wakes me with a kiss and smile every morning. She is an early riser and therefor my morning buddy. She is also so feminine and delicate which is something I love so much about her. She is my girl now and always!

Thank you, God...

...for sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, and raising Him to life so that we might live forever! Easter is always a wonderful day, but this year was particularly beautiful and we were all reminded of how very blessed we are to have each other and our living Savior. The azaleas were in full bloom and so we took a chance at trying to get some good pictures to remember the day. I know that we are a little bit biased but I do not think there were any cuter children this Easter!

Caleb is 2

There have been, and continue to be, times in each of our children's lives that we would like to somehow capture the essence of who they are forever and never allow them to change. Right now is that time with Caleb. He is cuter than ever! Jason and Colleen tend to be more shy around other people, but Caleb is very social and affectionate. He waves hello and yells "Bye bye" to everyone we see, giving aggressive spontaneous hugs all the time and to anyone who seems receptive. He is saying more and more words and just gives the sweetest most precocious little smiles. He is a pleasure, no question. And he is 2! Despite the wrong number of fingers held up, he is most definitely a 2 year old and loving every minute of it. Happy Birthday Caleb.

Two Buddies

Colleen is beginning to take her role as one of the "older" siblings very seriously and has started to include Caleb in her daily activities. He follows her around copying the things she does and happily allowing her to "teach" him the ways of childhood! Even though this may involve playing with dolls sometimes, I still love to see them play together. (P.S. Notice Daddy's socks on Caleb's feet!)

Wii Dance

One of our favorite Christmas gifts this year was Wii Dance. It is a great workout for Daddy and Mommy, and just plain fun for the kids!

Jolly Green Giant

A great veggie eater or just desperate?!

Stone Mountain

Some beautiful, strangely warm days motivated us to take a trip to Stone Mountain. Samuel and I both remember climbing the mountain and jumping on every rock we could find. Knowing this would be right up the kid's alley, we invited some friends and headed off. After a picnic lunch, touring the museum, playing on the playground, and watching Snow Mountain for a while, we decided to climb the mountain. All of the boys made it to the top. The little girls were too distracted to make it, but we all had a great time. Jason climbed the whole way but little Colleen and Caleb needed a ride on the way down!
